Undoubtedly, the portrayal of Muslims in the media has been overwhelmingly negative. I’ve briefly talked about my experiences following ‘Islamic’ acts of terrorism that spit in the face of Islam. Instead of telling you that we are just regular, every day people who live pretty normal lives – I want to show you. I’ll show you our successes and set-backs, fears and joys.
Over the coming weeks, I will bring you posts on regular Muslims from around the world. You will read their stories and see the diverse face of Islam. There are 1.8 billion of us – we’re pretty different. We are just everyday people, doing our thing. We Are Islam.

Sorry for the late comment but I just wanted to say that I’m really enjoying reading these posts. Anything for the unsung heroes, and if it helps with the negative portrayal of Islam lately, even better.
